So what is a Front-End website developer?

Mainly, front-end devs create client-facing interactions for users. They are the ones that build the individual website pages and how they function. Using HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding to achieve their objectives.

A lot of front-end devs also use Bootstrap, a framework, for creating their websites or web apps. These frameworks make building web pages extremely fast and responsive, though, I might say, at a cost of bloating the code and slowing the website down a little more than if they had coded the page from scratch.

What do they do?

  • Mainly client-side coding and designing
  • Responsive development
  • Version control of code

What are their skillsets?

  • HTML
  • CSS/LESS/SASS
  • JavaScript
  • Version control (Git)
  • Some Graphics (Affinity Photo, PhotoShop, etc.)
